Nissan has had a pretty strong end to a very strong year. As gas prices remain low, interest rates stay historically attainable, and consumer interest rises in sport-utility vehicles and crossovers, the Japanese automaker continues its track record of strong U.S. sales. In the month of December, Nissan’s U.S. sales climbed by 18.7%, over the same month in 2014. As consumers rally around sport-utility vehicles and crossovers, and while gasoline prices remain low, Nissan is seeing new interest in vehicles outside of its traditional core, sedans and compact cars. In fact, the company sold an all-time high of 1.48 million vehicles. The Rogue crossover was the lead in December and for the full year, with December sales rising 78% and 2015 sales rising 44.2%. The Rogue was the company’s second-best selling vehicle of the year. If you haven’t test-driven the Rogue yet, stop by Coast Nissan today in San Luis Obispo.
