A glimpse of the Japanese automobile giant, Nissan’s next generation lineup, slated to hit the global automobile markets by 2017, shows a promising future for the industry’s evolution. The latest update from the automaker’s news board revealed its plans to unveil a couple of redesigned next gen variants of its current models.
The first, in line, is the remodeled 2017 variant of the automaker’s bestseller in the SUV segment, the Pathfinder. The legendary pathfinder has been one of the most popular and notable automobiles in the country for over 60 years. The refreshed version of the pathfinder is upgraded with a redesigned exterior, improved performance and safety, heightened sportiness, and an all new level of comfort.
The 2017 variant runs on an upgraded 3.5 liter V6 power plant under its reinvented front hood. Available in both forward wheel drive and all wheel drive, the latest Pathfinder delivers an enhanced 284 horsepower and 259 pound per foot of torque, as compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the 2017 edition offers a couple of other modifications, over the current gen model, such as an all new Nissan signature V motion front grille,0.326 drag coefficient, a new direct injection gasoline system, third generation Xtronic transmission with D-Step control, refined suspension and enhanced aerodynamics.
In addition to its technological advancements, the 2017 Pathfinder also offers a best in class towing capacity of up to 6000 pounds.
