Mission Plaza

Established in 1968, this small but charming location was one of the most active spots around SLO in the 70s. It acted as a gathering place for residents and the members of the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, which is still an active church that you can visit. The Mission itself is easily accessible from the plaza, and you can also cross a nearby footbridge to visit the San Luis creekwalk. Many community events and festivals were held here, and there are still some big events that are held today for all the enjoy.

 

The Creamery

Back in the early 1900s, San Luis Obispo was actually one of the largest dairy producers in the United States. This full-service creamery was in operation for almost 70 years, providing quality products to both locals and people all around the western United States. Nowadays, you can take a tour of the place, as well as visit a number of art galleries, fine restaurants and interesting shops.

 

Kundert Medical Building

Designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Kundert building has a unique and innovative look that makes it a popular stop for many architectural tours of the county. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the art of building.
