A few days after BMW and Volkswagen revealed that they will be expanding their quick charging stations throughout the nation, Nissan revealed that it too will help open about 1,000 high-speed charging stations for electric-vehicles between now and April of next year. Nissan recently disclosed tthat it will focus its efforts on the nation’s largest metro areas in order to provide electric vehicle owners with high speed chargers that can fill up a vehicle’s battery in roughly 20 to 30 minutes. Currently Nissan has chargers in 13 metro areas including San Francisco, Dallas and Washington and plans to expand to 25 cities by the end of the year.
