Nissan is planning a design refresh for the 2016 and 2017 Nissan Sentra model that will not include a hatchback model. The model will maintain its sporty design and will be equipped with a more expressive appearance, similar to that of the new Nissan Pulsar hatchback. Additionally, the Nissan Pulsar will head to the U.S. in its current form – this can be found as a little bit of a surprise since the United States market appears to be developing more of an appetite for hatchbacks. The Nissan LEAF has recently found a new purpose; through the use of an inverter, the electric vehicle is able to energize an power washer to turn dirty city walls into beautiful murals without the use of paints or dyes. Reverse graffiti is a new art form that swaps the use of traditional paints most commonly used to graffiti with a power washer. The power washer wipes down layers of grime and dirt to create natural art works. This art form was pioneered by an artist known as Moose; he uses a power washer, powered by his Nissan LEAF to wipe away layers of dirt and grime to create beautiful and natural works of art. To celebrate America’s National Drive Electric Week, Nissan helped coordinate and event in California that is now considered to be the world’s largest-ever electric vehicle meet-up. The event witnessed 507 cars in one place, allowing this event to shatter previous world records. Nissan said that the majority of the electric vehicles present at the event were Nissan LEAF models. Nissan is collaborating with Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited (HKDC) to begin testing on the new 100% Electric van: e-NV200.
