Nissan launched its eighth-generation Maxima this month and has recently been redesigned for 2016. The model features a new exterior style design, with a floating roof and beltline, and enlarged front grill. The Japanese automaker’s new Maxima re-emphasizes the “4-door sports car.” The recently upgraded model is now 79 pounds lighter and sits on a more rigid chassis. Pierre Loing, Nissan North America product planning Chief, said: “This is where we will be different. The large segment has been an aging demographic, and sales are falling for the segment as a whole.
