The 2017 Nissan Titan XD full size pickup hit dealerships a few months ago as one of the earliest releases of the new year’s lineup. It was a bit of a teaser of what was still to come from the rest of Nissan’s Titan versions, which all offer their own individual packages. The next Titan to arrive is the regular Nissan Titan, which has been redesigned like the XD in order to offer more of the features that truck drivers are looking for.
The Titan XD was Nissan’s largest heavy duty pickup, while the Titan is a bit more compact and better suited for people who don’t need to tow extremely heavy loads. That’s not to say the Titan is lacking in the towing department; a 390-hp V8 engine with seven-speed transmission can haul some of the biggest trailers. Currently only the V8 is offered, but the V6 option will be released at a later date. Additionally, the truck is currently only offered in a four-door crew cab, with an optional extended-cab version arriving shortly. This is in addition to the number of upgrade packages including the ever popular PRO-4X and stylish Platinum Reserve.
The crew-cab model is one of the most attractive variations of this rugged truck, as it still provides plenty of seating for family members and cargo room in the bed for extra luggage. Multiple aluminum cleats on the sides of the bed can be repositioned and locked down to provide a place for bungee cords or cables to loop through them. It also has a 120-volt power outlet and LED lights so you can work hard even in the dark.
