Nissan proves to be the world leader in electric vehicle sales with its latest published sales report. Shattering yet another sales record last year, with 30,200 LEAF vehicles sold between January 1^st and December 31^st – making it the first time any brand plug-in model has sold more than 30,000 units in one single year. Nissan Electric Vehicle Sales and Infrastructure Director, said: “Now in its fifth model year, Nissan LEAF is more popular than ever and continues to bring new buyers to Nissan. From the beginning our vision was to bring electric vehicles to the mass market in a practical and fun-to-drive package, which is what makes Nissan LEAF the bestselling electric car in the world.” Nissan also recorded a 22.7% increase last month, selling 3,102 LEAF models.
