Nissan’s Armada: Leading the SUV surge.

“There’s never been a better time to purchase the SUV you’ve always wanted.”

Nissan is one the largest and most well known car manufacturers in the world. Even as a car manufacturer that sells vehicles around the globe, they need to be on their toes to maintain a competitive edge and solidify their rightful spot as a leader. The newly redesigned full-size Armada SUV from Nissan does just that. It shows the world why Nissan is a leader.

This is the perfect time for Nissan to bring to market the new redesign of the Armada—they’ve certainly done their research. First, because fuel prices are still low. Therefore, it’s natural for people to start considering bigger cars and trucks again after the lagging economy and high fuel prices around 2008 saw sales of those models diminish. Now is also the “sweet spot” for car sales on the calendar year. Summer is pretty much a distant memory. Anticipation for the 2017 models is building. And as we inch closer and closer to winter, no matter what part of the country you live in, you start to think about a sturdier vehicle like an SUV to get you through the weather or a holiday road trip.

The 2017 Nissan Armada is a lot like the Infiniti QX80 in quite a few ways. For example, the engine, driveline, platform and design are all just like the Infiniti QX80. Which means it drives like the amazing machine that it is, and on top of that, it has great styling as well. This iteration of the Armada SUV is down-scaled to be more svelte and less hefty than the QX80, so it appears more up-to-date and desirable. In the looks category, it is like a cross between a truck and an SUV. We like the new appeal and think it will also appeal to a wider range of drivers. Plus, it’s built like truck on the inside. Just take the kit, for instance. It includes sturdy construction, 8,500 pound towing capacity, an impressive 5.6-liter, direct-injected V-8 and 390hp for enduranc, and 401 lb-ft of torque on regular gasoline. The engine is almost identical to the Infiniti, with a seven-speed automatic transmission fastened to a transfer case with a 2.70:1 low range. Wrap it up with a tremendous package of drivers-aid tech and you have a little luxury, a lot of comfort and still a rugged vehicle that can do the work and give you some off-road cred.
