Nissan’s College 100 Program

In November 2015, Nissan announced the big and historic deal to become the sponsor of 100 colleges and universities nationwide. It also became the supporter of select NCAA championships. The campaign is a part of Nissan’s “Go Big” marketing strategy and the deal offers to give the car maker a huge audience base. The sponsorship has been negotiated with various media rights holders for different schools like IMG college, Lear field Sports, JMI sports, Sun Devil Athletics and others. The different kind of scholarships will include 22 different sports (for both men and women), 100 schools and a huge fan base in terms of students and alumni.

The scholarship includes infrastructure upgrades like gyms, Wi-Fi connectivity and addition of various other facilities. The scholarship will ensure the permanent presence of Nissan in the form of sign boards and advertisements in hundreds of college stadiums and sports facilities.

Ultimate Access Sweepstakes – As part of the College 100 program, Nissan is launching the Ultimate Access Sweepstakes program to give student inside access to college basketball games in February and March. Nissan Crossover Sales Boosted in January

The Japanese automaker posted a 1.6% U.S. sales increase in January, when compared to January 2015. The popular vehicle segment has experienced an increase in sales across the board in the past several months and fans continue to obsess over crossovers, sport utility vehicles and trucks this past month. Nissan recorded a 2.9% increase last month to 97,220 units. According to several new studies, there is a shopping trend that says shoppers are ditching compact vehicles and upgrading to bigger cars. Low gasoline prices seem to be directly correlated with this new trend.

Nissan Kicks Off the 2016 Motorsport Season in Australia

Nissan to Announce New Engine Options for Sentra

Nissan is excited to reveal that they are developing several new engine options for the U.S. based Sentra model in the near future. The subcompact sedan is currently being redesigned as well; news of the new engine options comes a few days after the automaker announced that the Sentra is being redeveloped into a hatch model and will be sold in both a sedan and hatchback variants.
